Menu Marketing started in 1999 in Blue Springs, MO. After having spent 15 years as a food broker representative for another company, Stephanie Lampton started her own food brokerage. Working from her home with just two employees and representing only a few lines, Stephanie used her product knowledge and a well established network to build those lines into success stories and end-user guest satisfaction. Menu Marketing later made two major moves. One to Lee’s Summit, MO which was quickly outgrown and the second to their current location in Independence. This location offers a state of the art demonstration kitchen and meeting rooms for sales and product management.
Now being in business more than 10 years, Menu Marketing is a fast moving food brokerage with an 8 member sales team and 2 customer service specialists. Representing more than 35 food and foodservice related manufacturers, providing a good product and brand mix is very important. Stephanie has been careful to choose products that will stand tall in side-by-side cuttings and choose companies that will stand behind their products with distributor and end-user support..

I founded Menu Marketing in 1999, getting my start in the food brokerage business in 1979 at French Nelson Russell, a major retail/foodservice industrial brokerage. From 1984 to 1999 I was employed at Lafferty & Company, managing all sales personnel, with major distributor and operator accounts responsibility, and developed many very strong distributor and operator relationships through these years. I believe in staying involved in the everyday sales as part of my responsibilities. I continue to handle key operator accounts, and I am responsible for calling on the buyers at Sysco.
Dori joined us in October 2008 and has been a broker rep in the Springfield market for 12 years, she works with Marvin in our Springfield office covering Springfield Grocers, Reinhart/Banta, Graves Menu Maker Foods and Associated Grocers in Springfield.
Joining us with 7 years experience as an Marketing Associate for Sysco of Kansas City, Tisha works with all of Sysco sales and is a welcome asset to the Menu Marketing team.
Coming to Menu Marketing with 12 years experience as an Marketing Associate for US Foods Kansas City, Dave works in sales and is a welcome new team member to Menu Marketing.
Karmen was previously employed at Blue Valley School District in Foodservice Department and offers a good perspective to our hard working team here at Menu Marketing.
Carla grew up in the restaurant industry, and has previously worked with US Foods. Welcome to Menu Marketing!
She works Menu Marketing’s administrative tasks. Between orders, bill-backs, communication from Manufacturers, Distributors, Food Services, and Broker-reps Mary Jo is the best in the business. We are glad she’s on our team!
Mary came on board in October 2008, with many years in the foodservice business, both at distributor and broker customer service. We again are lucky to have such experience in our customer service department.
